i met up with some old roomies a few weeks ago and it was fun to see them all again (from left to right: leigh, julia, ashlee, julie, and me in my awesome stretch pants - ha).

STEPHENIE MEYER! it was so fun hearing her talk. she spoke for like a half hour and was talking really really fast - i think she was a bit nervous. but she was really funny and down to earth and totally normal. when she signed our books (out of 4,000 that day) she was so sweet even though she looked really tired and hot up on that stage with all those lights and people.

the sweetest thing.

so, there's lots of moments during pregnancy where you feel like crap, you look like crap and you're in a crappy mood. but then there's other awesome things like ultrasounds or feeling your baby kick for the first time. last night we were getting ready to go to bed and i had just had some emotional outburst (to put it lightly) and then the baby started jumping around like crazy. paul had never felt her kick before but i asked if he could feel it anyway. he was skeptical but then he put his hand on my tummy and totally felt her kick like 5 times!! he was so surprised and happy and it was really cute.

it's pretty fun being pregnant at the same time, but i'm so jealous that she's due in july! actually, it'll be kinda nice that she's due before me though because she can give me all the gory, i mean, lovely labor/delivery details. and i can practice holding her little boy and stuff. i'm kinda nervous - babies are so fragile. but my baby will be totally cool so whatevs.

it's a girl!

paul and i are so excited! paul guessed from the beginning that it was a girl and he was right! the ultrasound today was so amazing. it was so fun to see her moving around and we got some cute pictures. the technician said everything looked healthy and she's growing normally so we're relieved, too. i'm so glad i finally know and can now focus on the important thing - buying stuff!
